Polycarbonate (PS) spray paints are specifically designed for RC bodies; they adhere well to the flexible plastic and provide a vibrant, long-lasting finish. These paints are applied to the inside of the body shell to protect the surface from scratches and impacts. They come in various colors and finishes, including metallic and matte options. Proper surface preparation and application techniques are essential to achieve a professional look and ensure the paint adheres correctly.

Tamiya spray (TS) paint is a synthetic lacquer that dries quickly, making it ideal for covering large model surfaces. It is highly effective for broad applications and remains unaffected by acrylic or enamel paints, allowing for detailed work to be added afterward with these types of paints. TS paint is not designed to be used with clear polycarbonate/lexan RC body shells.
